Hey, I'm Kirsten

Sometimes you just feel like enjoying a classic lime margarita. Maybe the weather is just right, or it’s Taco Tuesday and a margarita is calling your name. This simple margarita recipe is worth memorizing. That way, you can whip it out at a moments notice and impress your friends or even just yourself! It’s so simple and satisfying, and it’s made with just 4 ingredients that are easy to always have on hand.

Once you’ve tried a margarita with fresh lime juice straight from the lime, you’ll never go back to using margarita mix ever again.

Making This Simple Margarita Recipe

All you need to make a classic and simple margarita is your favorite tequila (we like 1800 Silver Tequila), Orange Liqueur like Cointreau, Triple Sec or Grand Mariner (I like to use this local Florida orange liqueur), Agave Nectar and Limes. That’s it! Like I said before, all of these items are so easy to always have on hand, so easy you may find yourself making margaritas a little too often (if there is such a thing!)

Make It A Skinny Margarita

Turning this simple margarita recipe into a skinny margarita recipe couldn’t be easier. Simply switch out the 1/2 oz of Orange Liqueur for 1/2 oz of freshly squeezed orange juice, ditch the agave or half it, and top your margarita off with an ounce of soda water. There you have it: a skinny margarita!

Make It A Pitcher

This margarita is also super simple to turn into a large batch Pitcher Margarita that will be sure to please a crowd! Here are the measurements I suggest for up to 10 glasses of margarita:

15 oz Tequila

15 oz Lime Juice

5 oz Agave Nectar

5 oz Orange Liqueur

Pour all ingredients in a 40 oz pitcher, stir and store in the fridge until ready to serve. Stir again before serving and enjoy!
