Brownie Pizza is something my mom would make us every year for the Super Bowl. It’s definitely a household favorite. Once Logan was introduced to it, it was game over; he wants a brownie pizza for every occasion! This year I thought why not make it a rectangle and decorate it like the American Flag? So that’s what I did and it turned out to be the perfect 4th of July Dessert!
This American Flag Brownie Pizza is so simple to make and is sure please a crowd. All you need is your favorite brownie mix, fresh strawberries and blueberries, bananas, cream cheese, sugar and white chocolate. That’s it!
Simply make your brownie mix according to the box instructions and pour into a thin, rectangular pan. Since the brownie pizza will be thinner than a normal brownie pan, your brownie won’t take as long to cook. I usually cut the time in half and check it with a toothpick. Once the toothpick comes out clean, your brownie is ready to come out of the over and start cooling.
While the brownie cools, mix your cream cheese with sugar and melted white chocolate until combined and to your taste preferences. Allow brownie to cool completely and then top your brownie pizza with the cream cheese mixture.
Now for the fun part, decorating!
I piped white chocolate stars for this 4th of July dessert and put them in the freezer for a few minutes to harden while I laid out my fruit. The blueberries and white chocolate stars made up my star section, and I alternated strawberries and bananas for the red and white stripes. I then drizzled white chocolate over the bananas and around the entire edge.
Be sure to save a leftover slice for the next day’s breakfast, I promise you’ll be so glad you did!
