Hey, I'm Kirsten

This simple lychee martini recipe is so good, I almost feel like I should start this post with a warning. Warning: Goes down way too easy. Ha!

This post was originally shared June 24, 2020. It was updated February 2023.

What Is Lychee?

Lychee is an exotic fruit native to Asia, that also grows in warmer climates in the U.S. including Hawaii and Florida. Prior to 2020, I had only ever tried them in Hawaii. We had them in everything: margaritas, fresh picked while zip-lining and even in a dessert!

Ever since moving to South Florida, Lychee has been on my seasonal shopping list, and I look forward to getting my hands on some every summer.

If you’ve never had a lychee before, they’re sweet and juicy all on their own, but they’re especially good in a cocktail. I made lychee sangria one night for some friends who were coming over, and we ended the night with these lychee martinis because we just couldn’t get enough!

However, don’t worry if you live outside of these warmer regions, you can still enjoy these lychee martini’s thanks to canned lychee and lychee juice that you can find at most grocery stores!

Lychee Martini Recipe

These simple lychee martinis are just 3 ingredients. All you need is your favorite vodka (mine’s Kettle One), St. Germain and Lychee (or “litchi”) Juice. I’ve found lychee juice at Publix, Whole Foods and The Fresh Market before.

I like to finish mine off with a fresh lychee fruit, but if you can’t find any, it’s not a big deal. Sometimes I use canned ones too if they are out of season. It makes for a delicious treat once you’ve finished your martini; it soaks up some of your martini and makes the already delicious fruit even better!

To make the martini’s, simply pour the ingredients over ice into your cocktail shaker. You need 1.5 oz vodka, 1.5 oz St. Germain and 1 oz Lychee Juice. Shake it up and pour into a martini glass, then top with your fruit and enjoy.
