Farmer’s Market Themed Baby Shower… We’re expecting!

I am so beyond lucky to have such talented, thoughtful and creative friends. I gave them the idea of a farmer’s market themed baby shower and one picture of little baby booties with flowers in them from Pinterest, and they turned it into the sweetest baby shower for me.

It was the perfect day filled with close friends, good food, pretty flowers and lots of love for our baby girl that’s on the way. That’s right, we’re expecting our first baby in July!

A Farmer’s Market Themed Baby Shower

Farmer’s Market Inspired Food and Drink

Luckily, with some convincing, I was “allowed” to do the food and drinks for my own shower since that is what I love! My friends are too sweet and wanted to take care of everything for me, however, I insisted ;).

I put together a bagel board, set up a build your own acai bowl station and created a matcha bar that had matcha lemonade or iced coconut milk matcha. My friend also baked a couple sourdough loaves for the party that were delicious!

Floral Arrangements and Flower Bar “Sadie’s Stems”

My friend Allie from Silo Flower Co. volunteered to do the flowers, and they turned out better than I could’ve ever imagined! She added carrots, lemons and radishes to the vases for that “farmer’s market” touch and chose pretty and whimsical stems.

She also set up a build your own bouquet flower bar that she called “Sadie’s Stems” – too cute!! It was the perfect farmer’s market activity for the baby shower.

The Table Setting

The table setting was simple and pretty, perfect for a farmer’s market themed baby shower. Another friend put it together, and I just loved how it turned out!

She used disposable plates and cutlery to keep things easy. Each place setting got topped with a custom sugar cookie, some that even said “Sadie’s Market” on them which I thought was the sweetest touch.

Shower Activities and Games

In addition to the flower bar, we had a few shower activities and games.

  • Painting Alphabet Blocks
    • Everybody grabbed a wooden block or two and painted a letter of the alphabet to help build a cute keepsake block collection
  • Guess what baby item is in the paper bag
    • Paper bags were filled with different baby items including pacifiers, flanges, and more! Each person felt each paper bag and wrote down their guess as to what the item was. The person who got the most correct won a prize!

If you are getting inspiration from this post because you’re also expecting, congrats!! You deserve to be celebrated!
