It’s the first day of Spring and my allergies are definitely sensing all the pollen in the air. The sun is shining, plants are waking up and if you’re in South Florida like me, this first day of Spring may be feeling a little more like Summer. But as a born Summer chaser, I’m not complaining.
I truly love Spring. It’s the time I feel the most motivated in life. Maybe it’s the not-so-lush landscape starting to wake up and fill back in its wintery cracks. Or, it’s the monarchs returning and the caterpillars taking over my milkweed– then emerging brand new from their chrysalises. Maybe it’s the sun on my skin, finally ready to give me back some color. Or the Spring showers giving a drink to Spring’s future flowers.
I feel motivated to clean and organize. I feel inspired with new ideas for both work and play, and I feel more ready than ever to take it all on. This feeling is steady and fast for me most Springs, and one I’m really starting to count on.
If you aren’t feeling this way, check out last year’s Spring letter.
I’m getting the itch for planting zinnia seeds, growing my own herbs and planting a vegetable garden. I’m ready to finally take in the donation piles that have been stacking up over the past year; to clean out the garage and go through that kitchen junk drawer again. I’m ready to dive head first back into the kitchen with all the fresh produce that Spring has to offer– and I’m most excited to share it with you over here on my favorite little corner of the internet.
Let’s plant seeds in our garden for future vegetables, plant seeds in our home by decluttering for future growth and plant seeds in our lives by learning new things and forming new habits that will allow us to bloom our way towards the Summer.
