– a small town, midwestern girl living in sunny South Florida with my husband and our two golden doodles.

Welcome to my lifestyle blog dedicated to good food, better drinks, easy entertaining ideas and laid-back living.

Sharing a cocktail, hosting a party with good friends, trying new recipes, making memories over a thoughtfully laid out grazing board; these are the moments I love to live and share with others.

Thanks for being here!

Hey, I'm Kirsten

Fall is officially here, and let me tell you, it feels good. Although it doesn’t physically feel like fall here in South Florida quite yet, the coziness of fall is all around.

In the soft breezes, the changing leaves, pumpkin everything and fall decor galore. Fall can be seen and felt everywhere we go.

Autumn is way more than just a time of year. It’s a feeling. It’s crisp and cozy, full of warmth and wonder. And if we’re being totally honest, I’ve had the feeling since early August.

I’ve been baking pumpkin things of course, but I’ve also been on a chai kick this year. I’ve perfected my Chai spice blend to my liking, and I’ve been adding it to so many things from lattes to this Maple Glazed Chai Spiced Banana Bread. Both of which you’ll see pop up on the blog soon.

This season on the blog is all about gather and graze. This autumn I want to spend more time honoring my home by creating cozy spaces for friends and family to gather and graze. Picture blankets and fall scented candles with fall inspired foods set on the coffee table.

Foods, drinks and spaces that all give that cozy, warm feeling of fall.

Gather and Graze

Spend time gathered around a table with loved ones grazing on all the amazing foods fall has to offer. Bring over this “charbooterie” board to your next halloween party. Sip on some frozen apple cider by a bonfire. Feast on fall inspired salads, pastas and desserts.

This fall I’m looking forward to driving back to Missouri with the dogs for Thanksgiving and spending some much needed time with family.

I plan on slowing down, hosting more and enjoying time spend at home with my husband. We just got back from a trip to Italy, and with Christmas around the corner, I plan on making more home cooked meals, spending less money this fall and enjoying all the free fall activities.

Fall content is already in full swing here on the blog and over on my Instagram, so check back often and follow along @kirstenturk on Instagram.

Happy Fall, Y’all!
